"Professional Development Schools (PDS) has given me opportunities to see different schools around the area and determine where I would like to teach and what I like teaching. I have learned about suburban schools like Hillview Elementary in Lancaster, city schools like Lafayette High School in the city of Buffalo, and rural schools like AJ Schmidt Elementary in Lakeshore. PDS has broadened my horizons into the world of education and joining PDS was the best decision I ever made in college. One of my favorite things to do is tell my classmates and other teacher candidates what PDS has done for me and why everyone should take part in it."

“It has long been a goal of mine to teach strings and Buffalo String Works has strengthened that goal. Getting to know the program, kids, and ways things are run are challenges of the best kind. The teachers and kids are encouraging and inspiring, and I hope to stay involved after my internship.”
